Task 1 Seeing Magnetic Fields Lines page Text Page 274

  1. Text Page 274 (in the red box).
  2. Read the instructions and follow them using a plastic lid, one magnet wrapped in glad wrap and iron filings.
  3. Make notes and draw a diagram of the force field pattern around one magnet.
  4. Label the poles of the magnet. Note the North pole and the South pole.
  5. Set up two magnets so that;
  • two different poles are facing each other
  • two similar poles are facing each other
Draw the force fields revealed by the iron filings.
