Task 1 Investigation How does the body control internal body temperature during exercise?

Activity 2 Changing Body Temperature
Student Task Brief:
Design an investigation into the effect of exercise on internal body temperature.
It would be a good idea to collaborate with other groups so we will work within our Five Islands, that is three groups to share the planning, conducting, results and evaluation.
You will have two lessons in total.
1. During the first lesson you will plan and prepare the outline of your report.
2. During the second lesson you will record and collaborate results and write up the report in your notebooks Every student must record the data and complete the report for homework if you cannot complete it in class.
The Report is due on the last lesson of this week.

In the conclusion you will need to explain your findings.
Hints on planning and safety
1. Allocate jobs within the partnership, someone can read the website pages and direct the others (whilst completing the work as well).
2. Choose a subject who is healthy and is able to run around the oval or on the spot for a few minutes.Equipment
3. Equipment.
You will have one stopwatch and one digital thermometer per group.

- Use the Celsius scale.
- Hold the probe beneath the arm of the subject for a few minutes until there is now further change in the temperature reading.
