This year you have been using Interactive Science notebooks so that you can write your study notes beside the formal class work. This may involve any of the following; tables, mind maps, labelled diagrams, written responses to the objectives in the program.
On the day of the assessment ensure that you have your writing equipment and calculator. There is NO borrowing or lending during an assessment.
General Examination Tips
Have in the back of your mind that the examiners are trying to do the best for you that they can. In this spirit please write neatly so that they do not have to spend unnecessary time re-reading messy writing to find the points that you have made.

It is understood that all science questions start with this statement;

Circle the “ Clue” word eg List, Describe, Explain. This tells you how to answer the question.
Picky Grammar
Short Responses
Limit your writing to the given lines.
You do not have to restate the question.
Hedging Your Bets
If a question asks for say one description - give one. If you give two answers and the first one is wrong then you will not get a mark for the second answer.
Extended Responses
Use the structure of the question to set out your answer.
When a question is given in parts like a), b), c) then use these to organise your answer.
